Electronic Timesheets

 

Timesheets allows you to log in the hours you have worked in two weeks and get paid. If you forget to turn in your timesheet, talk to Alla ASAP. This shouldn't happen however, because Alla sends out a reminder email on a biweekly basis.

 

To turn in your timesheet:

 

Go to www.timesheets.umd.edu
Log in using your UMD ID and PIN
Complete your timesheet (use 15 min. increments)
Click ‘Final Employee Sign Off’
Sign off and Log off

 

Payroll Human Resources (PHR) System regulations:


       Both supervisor and an employee can access the time record at any time within the pay period. A supervisor approves employee time record, at the end of pay period, after the employee fills out time record and signs off. E-mail notices are sent to employees when the supervisor changes or approves the time record. (E-mail notices are only sent if the employee's correct e-mail address is available within the PHR system.) Once the time record is approved, the employee cannot make any further changes or entries, even if the pay period has not closed. Changes that need to be made after the close of a pay period must be reported to the supervisor. If student employees fail to fill out the time record by the close of the pay period, (second Saturday), they will not be paid.
